General Terms and Conditions of Business (GTC)

1. Scope of Application

With your consent the following GTC become the basic terms of the contract. The GTC apply exclusively to all contracts entered into with Zona Health B.V., hereafter designated as "Zona Health," concerning acquisition and delivery of the Zona Plus device from the shop of as well as the use of the offer on and the respective subsites of the website in the version applicable at the time of order/use. The present version applies starting June 1, 2012.

These GTC do not apply to other devices ordered from the Zona Shop.

2. Conclusion of contract, Scope of delivery

Your order represents an offer to us for concluding a contract of sale. Whenever you place an order with, within an hour we will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your order with us, which contains an order number, a client number, and the estimated shipping date and lists further details (order confirmation). In the case of a telephone order, you will receive the order number while on the phone. The contract takes effect on receipt of the order confirmation. No contract of sale takes effect concerning products from one and the same order that are not listed in the order confirmation.

After processing your order we will send you a shipment confirmation. The shipment confirmation contains the tracking number for your package.

3. Notice of cancellation

Right to cancellation

Without providing any reason, you can cancel your contractual declaration within 14 days in writing (e.g., by letter or e-mail). The period begins on the day after the receipt of this declaration of cancellation by e-mail or mail, however not before the merchandise is received. The cancellation period is observed by sending the cancellation declaration or the merchandise on time.

Consequences of cancellation

In the case of an effective cancellation, services already mutually received are to be reimbursed. You will therefore receive back payments already made to us, in addition to interest paid, if any; we will receive back the merchandise delivered to you. For full compensation, the returned merchandise must be in an un-deteriorated condition as delivered to you. Zona Health reserves the right to reduce the compensation back to you by a value equal for the deterioration of the merchandise. Deterioration is wear and tear caused by use beyond examination of it properties and functionality, e.g. testing and trying the merchandise. In case of cancellation the merchandise will be returned at our cost. Contact Zona Health to obtain an RMA number.

Obligations for reimbursement of payments must be fulfilled within 30 days. The period begins for you when you send your declaration of cancellation or the merchandise; for us, with the receipt thereof.

If you cancel, an installment agreement may become invalid. You will receive back installment payments already made.

4. Satisfaction Guarantee

Independent of the rights legally vested in you, Zona Health offers you the following voluntary satisfaction guarantee.

If you use Zona Plus properly for 12 consecutive weeks, i.e. at least 5 times a week and, so doing, obtain at least a score of 80 or more and still are not satisfied, you can return the device postage prepaid within the first 90 days after purchase for a full refund of the purchase price, less shipping. You must contact Zona Health (within 90 days of receipt) to obtain an RMA# (Return Merchandise Authorization Number).

Clearly write the RMA# on the outside of the return box. An original purchase receipt is required for any return of the Zona Plus device. Your RMA# expires in 14 days. If your return package is not postmarked by the 14th day, your refund is no longer valid. To claim the voluntary guarantee to accept returns you must have set up a Zona Health account on Up to two Zona Health accounts will be provided for you free of charge with the purchase of a Zona Plus device.

5. Durability warranty

Under normal use of the device according to the instructions for use, Zona Health grants a two-year warranty on mechanical as well as electrical functionality. Making a claim is only possible by presenting the original invoice.

To make a claim on the rights in the warranty you must first contact us to obtain a warranty return code. The return code must be clearly marked on the outside of the package and the merchandise must be sent back to us with sufficient postage. After receiving your device, Zona Health will promptly repair or replace the device, at our discretion.

6. Delivery/Shipping/Costs

As a rule, delivery time takes 3-5 workdays. Delivery is made to all countries of the EU and to EFTA member states. We make every effort to follow international regulations regarding import and sales tax as well as potential product-safety regulations. Should the merchandise be seized by customs we will compensate you for the purchase price within 14 days.

All prices include shipping and the legal value-added tax (VAT). We reserve the right to charge for costs arising from unaccepted and uncollected packages (e.g., for handling, packaging, freight). Similarly, you do not have to pay any costs for unaccepted or uncollected packages, if you have cancelled your contractual declaration with us by the time of the delivery of the merchandise to you and/or the delivery of the merchandise to the parcel company designated by you. The applicable date is when you send your cancellation.

7. Payment/retention of proprietary rights

Payment is made by credit card. If desired, payment can be made in 6 monthly installments. The delivery will be made only after payment of the full purchase price or the first of the total of six installment payments. The merchandise remains the property of Zona Health until paid in full.

8. Before beginning therapy/registering

Zona Plus is a medical device for the treatment of a serious illness. All users must register their device. This ensures that they receive critical software updates and can be contacted in case of a possible product replacement.

9. Zona Health's "Zona Zone" and "Zona Care" accounts

In order to use all the benefits of Zona Plus, you must set up an account at The Zona Zone account is free of charge and possible for up to two users per device and helps you to be able to follow the progress with your Zona Plus therapy at any time on your PC. If you do not use your account for more than 12 months or not according to the contractual or legal provisions, we reserve the right to inactivate and/or delete your account.

Zona Care makes it possible for you to securely grant third parties access to your data, such as your doctor or family members. Zona Health reserves the right to block accounts in the event of misuse, or non-payment.

Transferring the account to another person is not possible, although two separate accounts can be set up per device.

10. Invalidity of clauses

Should one of the foregoing provisions be invalid, this does not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.

11. Choice of law

The law of the Kingdom of the Netherlands shall apply, excluding the UN Convention on International Sales of Goods (CISG).
